A South African engineering firm built for the industries that build South Africa.
Founded by control and electrical engineers, Promation SA delivers integrated automation, smart-technology and energy solutions across manufacturing, mining, agriculture, hospitality and property.
Engineering depth, local accountability.
Promation SA was founded on a simple frustration: too many South African operators were being sold disconnected boxes by vendors who never saw the inside of a plant. We set out to build a different kind of partner — one that owns the engineering, the installation, and the lifecycle of the systems it puts on site.
Today our team brings together control engineers, electrical designers, software developers and field technicians under one roof in Pretoria, Gauteng — serving Pretoria and surrounding areas within approximately 150km, with project capability across South Africa.
Whether we're commissioning a SCADA upgrade in a beverage plant, wiring an EV charging hub at a logistics park or rolling out estate-wide smart infrastructure, we work the same way: assess, engineer, implement, prove — then keep improving.
Four commitments that shape every engagement.
Outcome-driven
We're measured by uptime, throughput and ROI — not hours billed.
Transparent
Open-book engineering, vendor-agnostic specifications and honest trade-offs.
Long-term
Our average client relationship spans more than seven years.
Standards-led
Registered Pr.Eng oversight on every electrical and control design.
Mobilised across South Africa.
Our branded service fleet keeps engineers, panels and test gear on site — across Pretoria, Centurion, Midrand, Rosslyn, Silverton, Hartbeespoort and surrounding Gauteng industrial parks.

In partnership with EVZ Projects.
For borehole drilling, off-grid water systems, water storage and related maintenance, we work alongside our partners at EVZ Projects — combining their water and off-grid expertise with our automation, electrical and control engineering on integrated site builds.
