FAQ

Common questions.

Do you issue Certificates of Compliance?

Yes. All installations are signed off by registered electricians and a full SANS 10142-1 Certificate of Compliance is issued on completion, with supporting test schedules.

Can you work on live MV equipment?

We follow strict isolation, lock-out and permit-to-work procedures. Where live work is unavoidable we use suitably qualified specialists with ARC-rated PPE in line with regulation and our safety file.

Will my insurer accept your installation?

Yes. We provide complete documentation packs — schematics, schedules, test results, thermographic reports and CoCs — specifically designed to satisfy insurer and regulator requirements.

Can you integrate renewables with my existing supply?

Yes. We design hybrid PV / BESS / generator architectures that prioritise critical loads, comply with NRS 097 and municipal grid-tie rules, and remain safe and predictable during outages.

Do you handle municipal approvals?

Yes. We compile and submit the required NRS / municipal documentation for embedded generation, capacity upgrades and new connections, and liaise with the supply authority on your behalf.

Can you upgrade a board without taking the building down?

In most cases yes. We plan temporary feeds, phased cutovers and after-hours windows so essential loads stay live during the upgrade.

Do you maintain installations you didn't build?

Yes. We do takeover audits on legacy installations, document what is there, remediate critical defects and then maintain under a standard SLA.

How quickly can you respond to a fault?

SLA customers have defined response times — typically same-day on site within Pretoria and surrounding areas (~150km), with 24/7 telephonic engineering support and remote diagnostics where instrumentation allows.
